The exposed ceiling is painted in a dominant deep blue, representing the raw material (water) and the exposed engineering systems. Contrasting this industrial shell, we designed floating white metal mesh elements and light wood carpentry to simulate the membranes and the delicate purification process. This contrast creates a hybrid workspace combining rough industrial aesthetics with a meticulous high-end finish. Spatial Layout: The "Neighborhood" Strategy Beyond aesthetics, the core challenge was organizational. We divided the floor plate into distinct operational "neighborhoods," each representing a different department. This layout grants autonomy and intimacy to each team while maintaining visual connectivity and a natural flow between departments—functioning as a single, cohesive engineering system. Custom-made joinery and transparent partitions act as connectors between these neighborhoods, preserving organizational unity.
